hi tc, always fancied easyjet to istanbul then get the next shuttle to the island should be very reasonable, so can go more often! have to check the terminals tho... typically easyjet is from luton and the istanbul terminal is the one for the shuttles to ercan, can anyone who used this route please advise? also, on seperate flights you must allow plenty of time for the changeover or is it a case of, cue for for a song: "we've got all the time...in the world..." wasn't that the james bond film set in istanbul? or not andre

hi guys another possiable option is if you are flying from london you can fly with easyjet to dalaman then only a couple of hours stopover and then get a flight to ercan with kthy, also another option you can fly with thomas cook to dalaman from anywhere in the u.k and again fly into dalaman and get a connecting flight to ercan using kthy and you will only wait in dalaman for a couple of hours tops!!!! chrisnay it will be pretty hard to find a direct flight from nairobi to ercan, your best bet is to fly from kenya to dubai using kenya airlines http://www.kenya-airways.com/home/ then you can get a flight from abu dhabi to ercan with thy stoping off in istanbul http://www.thy.com/en-INT/index.aspx, one thing thou on this website cyprus comes under lefkosa hope this helps regards ukturk

Andre, Easyjet fly into Istanbul Sabiah Gocken. There is only 1 termianl building with 2 sections, International and Domestic. You arrive at International and depart from International. The only company to operate from Sabiah Gocken to Ercan is Pegasus ( http://www.flypgs.com ). The lay over is around 8 hours coming to Cyprus and 2 hours upon returning, but think that the cost savings can outweigh the stop over times. There is no transit lounge so you will have to buy a visa when you arrive, £10. Its valid for multiple visits in a 90 day period.

Thannks for the info, the problem I am having is that airlines don't like to transfer responsibility of animal cargo to another carrier, before destination has been reached. It's proving difficult, but am willing to look into any info received. Thanks

Just passed through ECN 2 hours ago, they have new hand luggage measuring frames, with 8kg clearly marked on them, needless to say they are nowhere near the check in desks, in fact they are by the gates so you only find out as you board!! .................. now there's a surprise! finding out after the fact! This is outbound from ECN though, not neccesarily from UK as I doubt there will be consistency ............ unless there was a job lot offer on the frames.

XL fly London Heathrow or Gatwick to Larnaca, their baggage allowance is currently 20 kilos per person, after May 1st its 15 kilos! If you want an extra 5 kilos it will cost £7.50 per person. BA are best, they will allow you up to 32 kilos even though their website advises 23 kilos per person. You can actually buy multiples of 32 kilos baggage allowance for £24 a go. This all ends in November this year. Lem
