I have some friends coming over very soon, and wanted to get an idea of 5 restaurants that members on this forum would recommend are worth eating out at, basic criteria being :

Best for traditional cuisine, Cost (the less the better!), service, catering for kids.

Really want to get away from the typical Ezic, Passport type glorified KFC's!

For cheap and cheerful traditional I would go to Beyti in Kyrenia. If you order the full kebab it comes out on a massive board which makes it fun especially for the kids. The food is also really good and you get a meze thrown in. Another one I have been to recently that does really excellent seftali and kofte is Bella Moon in Bellapais. A bit pricier than the usual local cuisine but you are paying for the location and you get a really good meze with it.

Just in case that doesn't work.

Based on the following:

1st - 3 points

2nd - 2 points

3rd - 1 point

If no paticular order was stated then all get 2 points.

POINTS:

Effendi's 20 , Ambience 15 , Cenap 14 , guidos 13 , Dragon 12 , Sabor 11

All others are in single figures.

Pretty good considering there are 61 restaurants mentioned so far.

I'll keep this going if people are interested,
