always had to pay for a month. Was 25 euro last time I went, understand it's 35 euro now. You buy it on the Greek side of the border/not border (for the pedants)

Today paid 30YTL for a ranger pickup for a month, it's 25 for "normal" vehicle. At the Pyla crossng the insurance booth was unmanned and I sailed into the SBA customs and stopped. Apologised and said would walk back the 50 M . Out came an absolutely snotty tartar of a bloke who ordered me (shouting) to turn round and go back through to get insurance. With the car now in no man's land the TRNC side guys had a laugh as the greek side booth was unmanned, and one of them politely asked me to take a seat, knew the gent's whereabouts and so phoned the agent who puttered up on a scooter 15 minutes later, presumably from his second job to write me a cover note.

All's well that ends well and Mrs T got the plane from Larnaca on time
