You owned a property on exchange land and a GC lays claim to it and you decided that rather than go through years of aggravation and Court proceedings to hand the property back to the GC. Would the TRNC Government allow this and if not how could you stop the legal situation from escalating.



What would the Courts (EU or other) do when faced with a situation like this, ie, you wanted to give it back but were not allowed to.

Yes it is a hypothetical question but one that I would like an answer to if such an answer currently exists. Having tried to discuss this with friends in the past it seems that no one is prepared to even think about their reaction should a GC knock on the door. I am not doing a 6M and stirring the crap and it is a valid question, if you dont like it don't get involved in the thread, simple as that.

If a GC came knocking at the door you could offer him your kocan and I believe that it would make your self seen as being very helpful in the eyes of the law. It is also possible that his bit of GC soil on the south is worth more, ask the GC to do a swop. Nothing gained unless you ask. But it is not likely to come to what you say as the legal side has not been thrashed out yet.



Dont think the judge would put it up, he would be taking it out!! lol

(1) Gary: The fifth column (GC lovers, expat haters in the North and what have you) has been writing silly, treacherous, unnecessary etc posts in the past 5-6 years. We've had Eric Seans (x other nicknames), MarkyMark (x other nicknames), Juliet etc etc. Some expats are fed up with ABSOLUTELY unnecessary posts from highly suspicious sources. Some (British) expats here are worried about their property here or in the UK - they don't need you to make their lifes more complicated.

P.S. If you HAVE ties with Northern Cyprus, then you lied in your profile or you are a coward.

Hans, I own property in UK and TRNC. After what happened to the Oram's property in UK , it's a worry for all in my situation. If we CANT return the property, instead of WONT, it might go in our favour in future litigation. I couldn't give a toss what you or anyone else thinks about Gary's postings. This posting of his doesn't look anti trnc to me. Why do you involve yourself in things that don't concern you? Look at your own posts, how much interest is shown, until you start hurling insults around.



DC Can't play chess good enough to persevere. That's why I offered my set to a learner, via Liz.

Standing up to insults, implied or otherwise is the only way to put them behind you. Win, lose or draw has never bothered me one iota, I've always healed up well and I wasn't exactly an Adonis to start with.
