Looking for a 3 phase transformer

I am looking for a 3 phase normal or auto transformer to buy or borrow for experimental purposes. Size or rating is not material. I have got magnetic flux going round and round my head and its driving me mad, so I want to put my theory to test.



For those who are well versed in electricty this is the question: If I have a 3 phase electricity going through a 3 phase transformer (star to star), would the voltage differences (ratios) between phases remain the same, increase or diminish? According to my theory it should somewhat diminish in star-star connection and even more so with delta-delta combination.

I am definitely not qualified to answer your question! But I think you should be able to get a transformer from Tanpa Tic Ltd. Their number is 7142633 if you want to give them a call and ask.

Thanks Sandy, I will give them a call tomorrow. I have known them for years and I supplied them lots of generators and regulators in the past. I doubt if they will have 3 phase but you never know.

Thanks everybody for all the suggestions but its not something that can be found in ordinary shops. In the old days it was possible to find it but not easy any more because now they all use electronic soft start gadgets to run a three phase motor.



Anyway, thanks to Google, I spotted various scientific papers that proved my point. So I do not need to experiment any more.
