I think 'Sloan' on the 'squatter' thread could use your skills and muscle. Take a look.

Why not approach the government, at the highest level, and inquire whether they have any openings for bodyguard duties - you could, perhaps, lay out all the existing bodyguards on your way in!

For what it's worth, can anyone in this post offer ME any help or advice in getting a job?

I am moving over to the Girne area just before the end of October. In the UK I am self-employed and work in the car industry so I am used to being flexible and doing a little of everything. I am looking for any sort of job to get me going...bar work, office administration, odd job man, etc. Does anyone have anything like this or can anyone point me in the right direction, please?

I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (but never used it as I got mixed up in motor racing) so the qualification is there, but no experience I am afraid. I am enthusiastic and practical...for instance, when I used to race cars I did all the preparation myself (from engine-building to suspension settings). CV available on request.
