Flavio Briatore and Pat Symmonds have left the Renault F1 Team after Renault admitted it will not contest the hearing on 21st Sept. Alonso seems to cause trouble wherever he goes, first Mc Claren now Renault. Ferrari watch out this driver is TROUBLE. Steve

OMG http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8258987.stm For sure this is an admission of guilt... Steve, how do you figure Alonso is culpable? I believe he is the most gifted and consistent driver in F1.. not not that I think this makes him "popular".. Of course if he KNEW of this plan before the race.. or even after it... Remember the crap Lewis Hamilton took ? .... I feel sorry for folk employed at Renault F1 or Mecahrome ( the engine builder) This does NOT look good for their futures..

Hi Steve, Renault had a pretty poor start to last season, and Alonso was often fuelled light to get him into the final qualie session .. This was one of his two "home" GPs.. and Renault were putting extreme pressure on the F1 team to perform.. so you may have point.. we need to know of Alonso knew.. HELL, who knew in the team... What was the other incident where Alonso has been investigated? Do you mean the Hamilton pit dispute?... if So, I think you'll find our Lewis has had a lot more crap his way...! There is a suspicion in F1 that Briatore and Simmons were not popular with the FIA - as main protagonists in the possible breakaway group and that the FIA had it in for them.. I NEVER liked Piquet snr.. after he made some remark about Mansell's wife back in the days when he was worried about "Nige" beating him... I son't see who will employ his son, either.. I think LOTS of smelly stuff will start to emerge, now..

Hi Rigbsy, Mr F Briatore may have a problem as he is *the* man as far as the UK FA are concerned re QPR..He has to been "clean" as far as all sports are concerned or he cannot be *the* man at QPR, either.. I REALLY hope that the FIA elect Ari Vatanen, as the new president .. it's time all "interested parties".. and that includes ex team bosses of Ferarri, M. Todt, allowed sport to BE sport and not "politics".. It's even time for Bernie to step down, too.
