RE msg 1, Ozbey: There are several places (beaches along the TRNC coast; the best known is at Alagadi) where you can watch the hatching or excavating of a nest. There are not many remaining, I understand from my wife (she's a proud member of the "Turtle Watch" , only two on "her" beach in Karsiyaka. She just told me that these two nests will be excavated in a couple of days (i.e. when the young turtles can't leave the nest themselves). If you want to know more you can email me and I'll forward your message to her email address.

Thanks to you both.

I should have said that they want to go to Alagadi, where I believe there are still about 15 nests waiting to hatch out.

Good to hear that Karsiyaka are also involved with the turtles though.

I have saved your information for possible future use.
