Car Hire...Any recommendations?

I've found 2 companies (Arizona rent a car & Abant rent a car) that offer cheaper rates than the big better known companies (from £15 a day). Has anyone used them or know of a good company for around that same price....

After using many companies here, I've found there is no difference in service or quality of car whether you pay £12 a day or £20 a day. The only exception is if you want to rent a "high end range" vehicle, such as a BMW or Mercedes then cost does come into it. The cheaper models tend to be older, but for tourist "get me around town, and into the countryside" cars most companies operate fleets that are very close in age, so no difference.



Since hire car companies really took off 4 years ago, many are still operating on their original fleets. They do not "turn them over" like in the UK.

I will also endorse bird I have been using them for the last two years. I have been paying £12.00 per day for a 1.4 Ford Focus.

Sun rent a car have always provided a clean fairly young vehicle. They have always been on time. When I said I was buying a house in TRNC they gave me a 25% discount. This is obviously the cut given to holiday companies.

Excellent car hire service, for an extra fee she will pick you up at the airport (ercan) and take you and your hire car to your destination, like wise for the return leg

pe-to car hire never let down used pearl for 2 years, always well maintained cars.already booked for next 2 visits

Green Valley are very good I have booked for my Dad on several occasions.

They have just opened a kiosk in the car park of Seytanpir Plaza in Alsancak (where the DVD shop is) They are also offering money exchange, saves driving into town!!!

Coming over in a couple of weeks. Have been quoted £20.00 per day with Sun and £15.00 per day with Bird. Would not use Green - when we hired from them a couple of years ago, the car was a very old Renault with dodgy brakes!
