Working for an insurance company I would suggest everyone to read their polices carefully. Do not buy any policy because it is cheap.

House insurance:Please understand Smoke and fire coverages are different. You may have fire coverage but not smoke coverage. it makes big difference on the policy premium but mostly smoke also destroys the house as much as fire. A simple policy should cover ; Fire, Smoke, Storm,Flood, EQ, Vandelism,theft and glass breakage. The rest of the coverages are under your decision but I think the coverages I wrote down are mostly enough. You should NOT insure your house with the purchasing price this is wrong.Insurance do not pay the builders profit or the land.The house must be insured from its rebuild price. Please ask your rebuild price to you insurance dealer. they will ask you your house sm. Please read your policies before you confirm it.
