Well done biglugs for getting down to give blood for the first time.

Many people don't do it as they are afraid of needles, the unknown (will it hurt), the sight of blood or will they catch something from the needle! It is a shame but people do have phobias as I do against snakes.

They seemed busier than normal but I do wish they would consider doing a session on the other side of Girne as a mobile unit like they do in UK ie in Alsancak or somewhere around there, as some I know just don't want to travel so far, which I can hardly blame them with all the traffic

I don't think that anyone could afford to buy a mobile unit. It just wouldn't be cost effective.

Biglugs AKA Kevin

I really don't know who you are and god bless you for giving blood today but none of this was my doing it was the British Residents Society who organised it all and made it happen!

The one thing I will say is that you don't have to wait until these organised events you can go any day to Lefkosa Hospital and give a unit of blood.

As you go through the entrance of Lefkosa Hospital it is the first building on the right.

My apologies biglugs for not remebering you but most people who e-mail me use there proper names so forgive me for not recognises you as biglugs. (lugs being a Scottish word for ears are you by any chance another fellow Scot?)

Dozza, I am not sure what you mean by buying a mobile unit. In uk they used to put up a few portable beds/stretchers in the church hall and we all used to file in and give our donation.
