what are 'ins and outs'?

Have seen mentioned many times that there are occassions when you have to produce your "ins and outs" and just wondering what they are.

It is a date record produced of you coming in to TRNC and going out of TRNC.

It's a print-out you get from the Police Station in Lefkosa showing your entrances/exits from North Cyprus. You need to take your passport, a 6.80tl stamp and there's a form you need to fill in with your name/passport number, reason for wanting it. Then you just wait about 30 mins and they give you the print-out. You need it for residency/work permit applications usually.

You only ever needed an ins & outs printout for bringing in a container of personal effects from the UK. They do check your ins & outs for temp. residency but don't actually charge you as such.
