thanks guys. article is online but apparently there is a big photo of me in a bikini in the actual paper. my poor gran nearly died of shock!! i hate journalists! oh well ill need to wait til i go home.

=> Of course! The journalists! Did the journalists force you to wear a bikini? Did they enter your bedroom? Serious now: if a picture does not mean "news" (not likely in your case or was it a very special bikini..?) and was not taken with your permission or was not made in the common interest - than you can complain and ask for damages. First step: the paper that published (will probably not work). Second step: a British court (may or may not have the desired effect). 3: Bring your case to Brussels and you can be sure to win. The EU privacy laws are rather strict, but for most people it's too much work to go all the way. But it CAN be done and some did. Teach those terrible journalists a lesson, I'd say... But also tell your poor gran it's 2009...
