How do you view BBC chanels on your PC?

Has anyone successfully done this and if so which software do you use?

Get a VPN. See Cyprus today. Advert every week. It works. No special software needed. 10 mins to download everything.

You will need a 1mb speed to watch live.

Redboxer

This is the company that advertises in Cyprus Today. Their webpage pretty much explains all the services that they provide.

Hi Redboxer.

Try at the bottom of page 19. You can do it yourself without their help. Their ad is the one mentioning 12.5 TL per month.

However, try the following link: https://www.my-private-network.co.uk/

Very easy. Great service. They reply to questions very quickly. Bristish site. You can pay monthly, by credit card. You can suspend the service when you are away.

You will be watching UK TV within 10 minutes!

Hi Pinkchilli

I am using the service you mention in mess 5 but with very mixed results. I have a 1 meg connection too.

I agree their support team are very good and reply promptly but watching live TV hasn't been a great success for me.

Would you care to email me at trnceden at yahoo.co.uk to compare notes please?

Thanks

Hi folks

under normal circumstances watching live tv via a pc in "TRNC" is likely to be a "frustrating" experience .. better to use your VPN and download the content from the BBC/ 4 / Five website..

ITV.com's 2downloads" are still streamed.. you are viewing as you download.. so the problems with stalling remain.

I use a VPN when abroad - one of my own - and it is capable of allowing pretty good throughput and quality.. but the "problem" is the "TRNC" infrastructure.

Our DC has been very helpful in this matter .. and who knows the Dutch might be coming to save us again ;)

Watch this space ;)
