"sick" sewing machine. Please can anyone help?

I know this is a long shot but...... Does anyone know where I could get someone to overhaul and hopefully, fix an old,(about 20 years) Singer sewing machine? The motor is fine but there is a problem with the tension. The thread keeps breaking and the tension will not adjust.

Failing that, you could try taking it to the 'Singer Shop' in Lefkosa. It's just off the main shopping street not far from the Ledra St crossing.

a couple of months ago I was in tectan, there were about 6 machines of various makes with stickers on awaitng collection by their owners

I took my machine to Tektan and I'm not sure they knew what they were doing as it still didn't work after their repairs. Brian managed to sort it out though.
