Eric Seans ("Pte Pike" and dozens of other fantasy names and fake ID's on more than one board) finally found his home on a certain other board. The man who denies the TRNC the right to exist (but has a house in Girne) is a welcome guest among a handful of banned or otherwise unwelcome ex-c44 members: http://is.gd/3zrDE



The reason he gives for his ban is a lie. He denies the TRNC the right to exist. Not recently, but for years. That is, according to the c44 rules, a very good reason for a ban. "pte pike": cry baby.

I believe "pikey" is saying "TRNC" is legally invalid.. as per the UN Sec Council resolutions..

I make no secret of my feelings about the current situation not being in the best interests of TCs, too.. as do some TCs.. are we "racists" ? ..

I will not even attempt to say that I understand all the history from the multi ID posters and the oposition but from an outsider looking in it does look very biased that one particular side is accusing another of being racist.

If you are on opposing sides of a disagreement about a country and its inhabitants then if one side is racist then surely the other side must also be racist.

The issues about the TRNC are way beyond this Forums abilities to control but the people on both sides on the forum should ba able to control themselves.

Unusually, I agree with DC that this particular poster is spouting anti C44 on another forum but does that really mean we have to start the old arguments again ????????????????

I have NEVER made a secret of my view.. "TRNC" does NOT exist - legally - this is a UN security Council resolution and supported by our respective nations



The declaration of independence is the VERY stick that the GCs use to [legally ] box the TCs ..



I supported an Annan YES/ YES and that should have ended the "rump" RoC and "TRNC" .. I hope for a settlement that will bring about two autonomous regions as part of a bi-zonal solution , within the EU, with TR as a member, too.

Universities can't get the funding, businesses have huge taxes to pay that wouldn't exist if "TRNC" was covered by the suspended EU acquis... and a citizen of "TRNC" can't marry a Russian lady and bring her to the UK as a dependent of an EU citizen .. From reading around and on this forum



TRNC only exists and is only recognised as a legal entity by Turkey.



The EU and the UN do not recognise the existance of the TRNC this will affect people house price it will effect payment of UK state pensions and any other benefit payments

I think Mr DC is being a tad aggresive when he accused folk of denying TRNC's right to exist



The EU is making grave mistakes which are not helpful they cannot seem to see that the EU And the USA need Turkey much more than Turkey needs either within the middle east without Turkey letting the RAF fly within her airspace it would make life in Iraq much more difficult.



I think also the UN need to look more kindly on what the Turks have to say, and not be seemingly overly leaning towards the Greek Cypriots

A resolution is needed and it needs to be FAIR to all parties NOT JUST THE GC's who seem to think they can have things every way they want

The TRNC most certainly does exist in the true and physical World. As most on this forum know the political world has a different view but are clearly not prepared to do much about it. The UN let it ride and do nothing to eliminate the illegal country.

It is evident however that the UN, USA and other major players seek a settlement to the Cyprus problem.

What problem? mant will say. Well its not very big and not very important. Certainly not as importanant as the Pelestine isues or Iraq and Afghanistan.

The problem is insignificant in terms of violence, war, attrocity, human suffering or burden.

The problem needs solving for political gain. The major world players need to see stability and stable peace in this crutially strategic region at the gate to the middle east.

Turkey is now a major world player with strategic position a strong military position and is continuing to progress as an economic strength.



I now believe the talks have missed the boat.

I see a Tiawanese type solution with the TRNC recognised and part of a bizonal republic of Cyprus.



Illegal in some eyes but there, living, breathing, young and vibrant, cosmopolitan, patriotic, and established.
