I feel the need to defend myself against a forum member, I cannot do this on the thread that is now closed. A few weeks ago I was a 'Hysterical housewife' something I laughed off at the time, yesterday I became a 'cronie' and today on a closed thread; "is a welcome guest among a handful of banned or otherwise unwelcome ex-c44 members:"

Why, Because I post on another forum?

When I was in NC last I saw this forum member twice, when I mentioned this to him after getting home he said "why didn't you introduce yourself I don't bite."

Can anyone see why I didn't introduce myself?

I do not want an argument, it is not in my nature, I just think the insults/grudges have to stop, and in the forum members defence I think it should stop from all sides.

Hi britvic

Do not let it get you down. Some people are just cowards and it is easier to bully someone from afar when you are sitting in your own comfortable surroundings. They are sad, very sad people who get fun out of abusing others. Do not give them the benefit of thinking they have got to you - bullies are like that. Face to face up front they are nothing but cowards. Remember your school days you knew who they were, here do not. What is the point of having a forum like this if people cannot say how your what they think, without the fear of being intimidated, insulted or harrassed. Don't let them do it to you.

I agree insults etc. are not needed and on my part I do not welcome seeing them.

We can all contribute and learn whatever our age, nationality or background.

We can all agree to disagree or even to agree, sometimes we can be annoyed but that is no excuse for lashing out and causing hurt.

I understand where you were coming from when you did not want to introduce yourself.

On this board and on ones from the past I have felt that I was not sure if I could trust someone to be well behaved if I met them in person; as I am sure others do. I try not to annoy others but I suppose can fail dismally on occasion if so I apologise.

To pinch your words "I do not want an argument, it is not in my nature" that is in life and in business too.

Agree with you too vicki.

It seems the majority of this board is taken over by people that love an argument, and i will guess someone will create a problem in this thread once the low-life, pedantic, idiotic, immature people start reading it.

When i joined a couple months ago i did so because i heard it was a great place to get help, and yes it is, but its also being dragged down by prats who act tough behind a computer screen. To be honest most people i speak to in the day over here tell me they dont use the forum simply because most people on it are Tw*ts.

I'm in agreement here with Britvic. Let’s put a stop to all this 'them and us' nonsense - I for one have had enough of it.

We all know the rules so there's no need for some posters to continually post about 'Rule this and Rule that'

Life's too short to keep arguing and bitching about each other. If you don't like someone's posts or where their loyalties lie then just ignore them.

Hi Vicky , i think we have to feel sorry for these people , they can't have much of a meaningful life , or they would'nt be so obnoxious to other people , nothing wrong with a healthy argument , but it so often turns into a personal and nasty slanging match , you have heard " attack is the best form of defence , they obviously feel threatened by the decent people using this forum suggesting something is sadly lacking in their demeanour

Take care , Simbas

Hi Simbas, Yes your right maybe we should feel sorry for them, its a bit difficult when its aimed at yourself though, a bit of tongue in cheek is fine also a post you have made whereby you think afterwards "Oops that didn't come out right." You can always go back and explain yourself, but some posters are just downright nasty and go out of their way to create a bad atmosphere. And Bill your right too much emphasis on the rules, this avatar business, I have had my avatar on here since I joined, never have I been recognised by it, (I even sat next to a forum member in The Hut, and he doesn't have is avatar, just knew who he was) I don't see the problem therefore of posting a picture of yourself.

That didn't come out right, better explain myself, should have said "He doesn't have an avatar on here, just knew who he was." LOL

I've deleted this post as it was unecessary given what has been stated on this thread.

Enough is enough. The name calling has to end now.

I too have met N, in fact realising we had no electric on our last visit to NC, N was straight round the next morning after our arrival with a generator! Thanks N, by the way I may need that again in the next month. LOL

How nice to see how *all sides* hurry to grab the opportunity to write normal posts without insults, threats etc.

Hi Lilli, I don't let anyone get to me, I am just trying to highlight a problem, and it's not just my problem, you yourself have had the odd slur from certain posters too.

Hope you and Guido are well.

Heheheh, I think people only like rows that they themselves are not involved in.
