i did it last week, cost 279ytl,took about 30mins being sent from one building to the other and back again.About 4 times i think,go in press button on ticket machine for projects (bottom button).go to counter, they were very helpful!take passport, contract, previous bill if you have one,if not they'll look meter number up for you. hope this helps,if you know the meter number that would help too.

Why would you want to change the name on the bill? As long as someone pays it, Kib Tek don't care.

andrew, the previous owner of your place will want his deposit back from kibtek,he just needs to supply the reciept for it! put it in your name mate, dont try to cut corners.

in kibteks office it was packed with ex-pats waiting in a queue that was snaked out the door to pay their bills, unbelievable folks, get your bank to pay it,no queues,no hassle,no stress!rather be down by the harbour with a beer watching the world go by.

For those in Esentepe, in case you don't know, you can pay your Kibtek bills in the Co-op bank opposite the petrol station. Go before noon.

msg 11,

I pay a couple of bills for friends and I use the bank near my office. I have ocassionally overpaid (somehow) but this always appears as a credit on the next bill.

My friend bought an apartment last year that she rents out. Had an email yesterday from the agent saying that Kib-tec came to remove the meter at the request of the previous owner as she had not changed the name on the bill. I think he also bought pre-deposit so maybe you should just get it done anyway to save yourself the hassle.

295ytl thats gone down we had to pay a deposite of £300 we we changed names, I would also as msg 2 sugests take a copy of your sales agreement and your passport. we were asked for both of these. You start off in room 1 ist floor, down to counter back to room 4, then back to couner The counter on the left is the one wher you will have to get your paperwork sorted.

Leave yourself about an hour and jolly good luck
