Can you find on the Internet what was added during the last minute about (let's say) Michael Jackson?

(Of course Michael Jackson is only an example of a variable...).

Try this: http://www.google.com/search?q=michael+Jackson&&as_qdr=n1

This will show what (if!) was added in the last minute.

Where n has the value minutes, h = hour, d = day and w = week.

This way you can read the *latest updates* of every subject/item you choose.

The same way you can read the posts on this board that have changed within "your choice".

And Google offers more - if you only want to read the posts that have changed since your last visit here...: anyone?

(Answer tomorrow... - unless nobody is interested in little search tricks).

Clearly not much interest in fine tuning searching on the Internet and this board - sorry to have bothered you.

Oy! - you cheese-eating, clog-clad, johnny Foreigner!

I only just logged on - some of us have other things to do, you know, besides play with 'pretend' computers (e.g.Apples, Blackberries...)

Doesn't mean I'm not interested...

I suppose that you'll go off and SULK now, and we'll have to tempt you back out with a nice piece of Wensleydale!

Anyway - GO ON then, tell us, do...

Have to go now, Keith. Must buy a new steam engine for my Windoze PC. When I'm back this evening you will be served (I may send you an email - won't annoy the good "peeps" on this board...).

To keep you busy while I'm away... Have a peek into the fascinating world of realtime searching (according to all major players i.e. Google, MicroSoft, Apple and others): http://www.google.com/search?tbo=1&q=realtime+search+engine

Enjoy!

Too technical for me - but it could be a boon and I will ask our web designer to have a look in case he can do an SEO job that hel;ps it to work.

Tom, especially for businesses: very interesting development! You could have a button on your site, press it as a potential customer and all your new offers within the last 10 minutes, 30 minutes or last day or whatever will show. Could even be finetuned with destinations, carriers, prices etc etc. Google has been working on this subject now for three years and it's now in full swing - Google doesn't make many errors...

Hans,

I'm sure that there are plenty of people reading this who are interested, so carry on posting and try to ignore the irrelevant messages, or even ..... (pause for effect) ...... Laugh at them!

I did have a look at the links that you suggested - it's a whole new world isn't it?

As someone who has yet to get to grips with Facebook (Who ARE all those people who want me to be their friend, by the way) I think that the majority of us are going to need a little guidance in the practical application of this 'emerging technology'. (In simple language - "Help!")

Keith.

p.s. As my old Boss used to say - "KISS" (Keep It Simple, Stupid - although I never actually knew if he meant ME!...)
