Does effes give you a worse hangover than Carlsberg? The big debate!!

I kind of agree with Vaughan. Its not the 8 or so beers which gives me the hangover but the couple of vodkas.





Seriously though I used to find that Efes gave me one hell of a hangover the next day and so did Gold Fassel. Carlsberg was ok though.

I hate beer / lagers of any kind so I certainly don't get a hangover with them. And of course you will only get a hangover if you drink to excess. Always drink a pint of water before you go to bed and this will stop the dehydration that contributes to the hangover.

I think most of the bars will tell you serious drinkers start with Effes and within 6 - 12 months of living here have changed to Carlesberg. Have heard that the alcohol volume in Effes is not regulated so can vary several %.

Efes is much lower quality than carlsberg and the aftermath is a lot worse the next day - that is for sure. I only drink Efes if i'm having a couple of beers - if i'm getting pissed it has to be Carlsberg!!

ive took to drinking bottles of effes light with a slice of lemon in the top.



only problem is now i tend to drink alot more of them,12 upwards if out for more than 4 hours.no bad head!



maybe need to go back to good old vodka redbull!

Anyone seen today's Daily Mail article about the alcoholic hand gel used to combat the spread of swine flu. Apparently they are having to remove the dispensers from prisons as the inmates are drinking the stuff. Some distill it and mix it with fruit juice and sugar. Others just down the stuff neat. Several inmates have been found drunk and one started a fight. Now THAT should bring on a headache!

this has been happening in the hospitals in the UK for many years. Alcoholics crave any kind of alcohol so when in hospital and they can't get their chosen tipple they will drink any bottle of cleaning fluid they can find with alcohol in it. Hence the reason nowadays for locking everthing away. Really sad to think sombody is that desperate.

Effes does not give me any worse hangover than any other beer or lager that I drink too much of. I do prefer Effes to Carlsberg though. I have never had a hangover from too much Raki.

My wife says I have a drink problem, I haven't. I drink, get drunk, fall down and sleep until it wears off. Where is the problem?
