What’s’ all this about a wind farm and power generating site being considered down at Turquoise between the two developments or around the bar area or somewhere around there? Probably be quite a good idea given that there is always at least a slight breeze. Anyone got any more info? Chegs

Have read about this on another site and posted a thread but there is a delay with the moderator. Esentepe translated means Windy Hill so I am told but is there enough wind in this area to make it feasible and wind generators do cause problems with a humming noise

Just read the silly name who posted it , just a cheap way of getting folk to read the forum , although i do read it for the entertainment factor they are all ga ga on there but it does make us all laugh in our house quite hysterical in fact . Getting back to the post there are a few folk who are full of hot air on that forum that could help that proposed wind farm LOL

Pots and kettles? I actually think it is a daft idea but who knows? Maybe it could work and provide a service for a good price. Let us hang on and see. Maybe the bloke who I have now seen who posted (silly name) maybe onto something. He just wants to stay private just now and having seen some posts I dont blame him. Chegs

| so if you find out whats really goin on at windy hills please post it here - or if anyone has contact details to the project team, these would also be a matter of interest. We could help out in any project of this kind, advise if it is feasible or not. As a company active in the TRNC renewable energy business for over 5 years and knowing the european and american marked quite well, we could be an assisting hand. | The idea of a wind farm if true is a great idea using resources that are free and plentiful and hopefully not causing any harm to the environment |

I happen to think it is a really good idea, also are they not talking about as well as generating electricity producing water wells, this would greatly benefit the locality
