Dear all. Just returned from a great holiday in Catalkoy. Wow, things have changed in 8 years, so much building work started/half finished and many many new villas. Traffic has also changed but not too bad!

Had great meals at Erols (Mousakka - Weds, and Kleftiko - Sats, many thanks to Karanfil for booking our first night), The Courtyard, Rafters, The Grove and Happy Valley. Also a wonderful lunch at the Museum helpers cafe in Nicosia.

Not so good was Shayna's, great if you are into fish ( my swordfish was superb) but the service was poor and they tried to give us a HOT bottle of red wine!

Escape beach was nice and a great cafe above the beach. The Turtle project was really interesting and we actually witnessed hatchlings being released at sunset, a wonderful sight.

The Sunset/Curry cruise on the African Queen from the harbour! Wonderful views and a really nice curry selection with plenty of it too. Recommended

Overall a total chill out holiday, prices a bit higher but worth it!

Hi teejaybee

So pleased you enjoyed Errols and it was no trouble at all to book for you.

Next time you come you must try Padisah near the Colony hotel and Sele in the Turkish Quarter. Errols is still my favourite restaurant.
