Just read in Cyprus Today a quarter page add for companies being invited to register an 'expression of interest' for supplying 204 right hand drive vehicles to the UN Cyprus on a rental basis with the contract being for a three year period with an option for a two year extension. Do they expect to be around for that long?

I don't know but I would still like to know why they think they will be out here for another 3 + 2 years.

AJ, I VERY much doubt a procurement team, is privy to long-term UN plans, nor knows the likelihood of any referendum !

Seems like a lot of vehicles for such a small contingent. Anyway, if/when they leave they can always sell them/take them with them.

Just out of interest the British Military use Lex Autolease part of the LLoyds Banking group for all their cars vans and trucks 10 year contrat of outsourced

Good spot AJ possibly a contract comping to an end its been on extension and the current t leasing company want their vehicles back as the RV(residual values) are rising and there is an out at auction also the SMR budgets go out of kilter over 5 years
