Hi,

Thanks for the info.

I am looking to buy a log burning fire for this winter, don`t know the proper name for them but they look like an old fashioned stove with a glass door on the front & a round stainless steel flue coming out the top (seen them back in the UK)

Would anyone know where I could get one from, that`s if they do sell them here.

Many Thanks

Bri

We have just had a cast iron log burner fitted and the quality is good.

We got it from a place called Akinlar and the owner speaks good English.

If you are coming from the Catalkoy area, turn left at the Girne roundabout then go straight across the Bellapais traffic lights and you will see the shop on the left hand side under a block of flats. It is before the wedding dress shop.

He has various sizes and styles.

Wonder where do they get all the logs from, hope trees are not cut down illegally.

tons and tons of dead branches make excellent firewood
