it did not happen in the end i belive the "lot" was withdrawn

I think it is round 1 to the protestors i do n ot know if they have managed to win the war as has apparently been stated in cyprus today by a turkish minister that they will sell all the empty and unfishished plots to pay the debt??

Maddy – As a purchaser on the Sun Villas development I wasn’t aware that the auction was due to take place last Saturday and I would be grateful if you could let me know where you got that information from i.e. was it formally advertised somewhere? and then withdrawn? We believe that the auction has been cancelled, and that the problem will be sorted – nothing formally confirmed but looking promising.

Last Weds (23rd) Cyprus Today this Weds ed. had a front page article 'Minister’s pledge to protect homes' to help the Sun Villas' purchasers in Catalkoy i.e. only unsold villas/plots will be auctioned, following the unsuccessful auction on the 12th July. I haven’t actually seen the article and I would be very grateful if someone still has a copy of the paper if they could to scan and email (enquiries@wildolivevilla.com ) or fax (00 90 1603 221832) or even put a link to the article on this thread.

Hopefully, fantastic news for us personally and possibly a clear signal of hope/ac

Hopefully, fantastic news for us personally and possibly a clear signal of hope/action from the new TRNC goverment for other purchasers with problems.

Thank you everyone for your concern/support.

Hi everyone and thanks for your replies which certainly seem hopeful for those concerned.

We are buying at Marina Park which after one year works have ceased and nobody seems to be able to advise us as to the outcome, we are just fobbed off all the time by those concerned i.e.builder, developer, lawyer etc. Hopefully then the new TRNC government will intervene. Here's hoping!
