We have never been out for new year. This year we have the time, and have booked a week from 28th December. Now we need to plan the week - I would grateful if all the regular could post their tips, and suggestions of the best places to go. Thanks

mess 3 - I had the worst X Mas meal i have ever had at the Malpass - also drinks prices far too high...

Nick. The drinks and eats are free if you accept the Mayors invitation to his Christmas party, it was at the Malpas last year only Brits there though, singing "he's a jolly good fellow"!

The best New Years Eve party is the one thrown by Alf, Mus and their families at the Hideaway in Edremit - maximum fun!



Went to Merit for 3 days over xmas the other year - busy but excellent value and good entertainment



Hear Mecure pretty good - heard similar comments re Malpas I am afraid...

You could go down to the harbour and bring in the new year with the locals. They generally have live music in the Belediye square then fireworks over the harbour.

I will be in the harbour in Martis celebrating with the locals & if the weather is ok, will go outside & watch the fireworks. I prefer to celebrate wiith the locals, mind you it was funny to see their faces when the 6 of us sang "auld lang syne" at midnight.

Great atmosphere & would not miss New year in TRNC if I can help it.
