Old lady left all day on her own at a cafe

Does anyone know of which authority to report a person who has left his elderly mother at a cafe all day , for the second day in a row whilst her family is at work?

Have you checked that she has no relatives in the cafe?

The cafe owners must be okay with this I guess or they would have asked her to leave.

I agree with Chris, maybe the cafe owners are aware of this and are happy with it, but it does seem sad that she is left to sit there all day, lets hope people come over to chat with her AH BLESS

I live in Karsiyaka, and we often get an old lady on our site asking for money, I offered her a seat and a drink but she didn't want that, only money. I see her often walking up and down the road from Hos bes supermarket area to Guzelyali. It is so sad. She rattles our gate and shouts until you go to her. I don't think giving cash is the answer, I wonder if her family know what she is doing or not.

Alibop,

If it is you that is running the cafe then you must have a word with the relatives and try to resolve things before contacting the authorities. Is she too old to maybe give you a hand, washing some dishes or cleaning the tables perhaps.

In a way the family are probably being kind to this old soul thinking that at least she can see and hear other people rather than being left at home alone every day.

Where is your cafe, maybe some of us can pop in and say hello to her, is she a local lady or an ex-pat?
