Just noticed that Lilli has advertised her Sunday lunches and the thread is closed?

But Back in Time can advertise buy one get one free!!!!

Be fair Nurse. This is a commercial site and yet we have all been guilty of advertising to some extent but it has to be done in moderation. Do you see what I mean?

No offence, but Alshaheen and Back in Time are doing the same as Guidos and their threads are still going.

Maybe I am missing the wider picture but in my book they are all doing the same so why pick on Guidos?

Nurse thanks for that. In my opinion Guido`s is the best Sunday lunch around and we have really missed them during the summer months. They don`t really need to advertise but it`s nice to know they are doing sunday lunches again.

Thank you nurse. I wonder all the time I dont advertise much I just reply. If THats what the mods want I will sign off . Enough is enough. I see the same places advertise week after week and they do not get closed. So I think its time to call it a day. Thanks to all Izzett etc for your past help but I do feel one rule for all.

I always read posts about Guido because I have met this lovely couple and to be honest I am not aware of other restaurants advertising through posts because I never follow them. Since this is a commercial site open to adverts like Jashans, it is right not to allow too many indirect adverts. Otherwise it is unfair on people like Jashans who pay for their adverts.



Howeer I do agree that it should be one rule for everyone but bear in mind that it is not always easy to measure accurately who does how much. So it is more subjective rather than an absolute measure. No harm though about airing your annoyance at your perceived double standards. I am sure the mod responsible for this will take notice. All for a good cause. We must thank Izzet and C44 for giving us this opportunity to air our views and have hours of enjoyable time.

Hiya elko I agree but I rarely advertise I just respond. As we are doing sunday lunchs again I thought i would go through my favourite medium and advertise in the way many other restaurants are doing. I can understand the lunch on thursday AGAIN i REPLIED BUT Iit did become a bit like a chat room. I will agree on that. Im dammed if I answer and dammed if I dont. I have had posts dissapear recently and closed as soon as I post them, yet all others can run and run. I love Jashanss and Punjab and he does pay but beleive you me he gets so many hits evert time GUIDOS is mentioned. I have loved my time on here and espically its given me the opportunity to home so many animals and help with other animal probs. See you soon I hope xxxx

Not used guildo's (yet), but I found it very odd that the thread was closed so fast. As has been said, there are many advertising threads for restaurants etc. And Lilli is fast to complement other restaurants when they advertise.

Interesting to note that we no longer know which Forum Administrator has closed it. In the olden days at least we knew who to vent our anger at at closing a thread, now we don't. It does mean that anyone of the Forum Administrators can take out any grudge with a posting, or poster, or even play God, because they can.

I feel that we have allowed many personal Guido's threads to last in the past.

You can see that over the past of a year, there has been 74 threads about your restaurant!



Now, it has come to a point where you are advertising.

Only a little percent of members are interested in reading what is the menu on Sunday.
