We as a couple will arrive 5th October 09 my wife is considering what type of coat / jumper / cardigan to have with her to wear everything from a fur coat to a body warmer.

She thinks it's going to be freezing!

She is on Face book as Collettesnape@msn.com if you have any sensible ideas ask for an invite.

Oh she does not take to idiots!

Cheers!

Might be an idea to bring a light waterproof jacket as well as there is always the chance of a shower of rain in October. A cardigan is fine for night time.

Hi

I have sent your wife a facebook request. We will be over on October 24th for 7 weeks. Also a bit concerned about the weather. We spent New Year there the year before last and it was lovely, but we froze when we were there in February. It was a relief to step off the plane at Stansted - it was definitely warmer.

hello Shaky and foggy lol, perhaps she should take one of those big slippers you know the ones two feet in one big slipper, or those nice tartan ones with a zip and a pompom on the front. As for evening wear, a fur coat might be just the job......

Sounds like you are looking at BBC forecasts. They are not correct for Girne. I think they are Lefkosa temps which are higher by day & colder at night. Yesterday Max in Girne was 27c. Last night at 23.30 in Catalkoy was about 19/20c.
