Please make yourselves aware of the board rules before posting. Anyone that post's against the rules will have their postings deleted without explanation. Anyone that has a problem with the rules then they can discuss with any board admin staff or directly with the board owner via e-mail. AJ

Better read them every time you log in then as there seems to be many added on lately. Rule 14 seems a little selective: 14. Member Photos Only personal photos will be uploaded. We are trying to build a community here, so please send your face photo. We reserve the right to accept or decline any photo as we see fit. Visit "Edit Member Info" page and click on the Member Photo to send us your photo by email. Vicki

No need to read it every time you login. The last revision date is displayed on top of the page. Whenever we modify something, we alter that date. It currently reads: Last Revision 10/07/09 Izzet

message 4 "AJ, may I suggest Rule 16: "Don't lie in your profile."?" How could you tell if they are lying or not? There is no way you could prove/disprove whether someone is lying.

Ha, ha Bill, but Miss Ruby has been a member since 19/07/2008, and no one has questioned her age before, therefore unless you as Admin scrutinise every member you would never know.

Not read the rules sorry very lazy I know, but is there one for stopping general chat on the forum. Nothing worse than a group of friends talking about there daily routine.

Bazilbrush I agree. If they were real friends they would phone each other, or at the very least text each other. It's as rude as the guys on the train/buses/tube who ask their partners "what's for dinner". No one wants to hear them. I may post a topic just to my wife: "I'll be 10 minutes late as I'm still in the pub". I hope I would be banned and others would learn. However, I doubt it.

| basilbrush, Here is rule 8: 8. Personal Posts Do not post member specific questions. Eg. "Who is LittleIzzet?" or "John please call me today as I am leaving home soon" However, sometimes it is hard to implement this rule as some members (me) do not display their email address, so the only way another member (with no email address either) can ask a specific question is to do so on a thread. | RE msg 11, britvic: (...) However, sometimes it is hard to implement this rule as some members (me) do not display their email address, so the only way another member (with no email address either) can ask a specific question is to do so on a thread. (...) => There is a Peyton Place styled web site where people (latest threat: members only!) can ask each other specific questions like: "What are you going to do today?" and later on in the thread: "What have you done today?". It makes fascinating reading. But you must know that, Vicki - or is britvic there someone else..? It would be so nice here when, oh, read message #8... |

This thread is not intended as a debate of the existing rules and as I have pointed out if anyone has a problem with the rules then debate with board admin or Izzet via e-mail. AJ

There are just too many rules and too many people with their own agenda. Just some of the reasons I have not taken an active part for many months. T

Apologies to the poster if message 21 which I edited but innadvertantly deleted. I edited the post because it was an unnecessary remark towards another moderator. I'd have done the same even if it had not been a moderator.
