Be careful believing so called e-Cards & web sites!

DON'T TRUST all mail to you with a link to a so called e-Card, sent to you by a friend. If you don't know this friend - don't follow the link in his/her mail! Below you see what can happen when you are careless:



"Carol has sent you Happy Wishes!

Your E-card will be available at the link below:

===> MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "www.fogcycling.com"

===> claiming to be"

When you are Internet banking: always check if there is a little brown/yellow lock visible in the window where your bank URL is shown. (This also goes for PayPal!). Many malicious sites (from Eastern Europe, Russia, China etc) give you the impression with a fake home page that you are safe. Not so: you are often redirected to the malicious site without knowing it and next you give away very confidential data. Remember: no little lock - they are cheating you!

RE msg 1: this site made the URL VALID that I made UNVALID! Sorry, I couldn't know that and only saw the result after posting. Tricky! DON'T FOLLOW THE URL IN MESSAGE 1!
