You have to think of the worst case scenario, i.e. you have a serious accident and the car is written off. Will the hire company retrieve the vehicle from the North or will you be expected to get the car back to the South at your own expense? You should ask them specifically "if the car is written off/seriously damaged in an accident whose responsibility is it to recover the vehicle?" and maybe even ask them to confirm this in writing. I have heard of a situation where the hire car company charged an exorbitant amount to the hirer's credit card for recovery (and I'm talking £000's).

Hi Modek and welcome,
Please dont take this the wrong way but this particular question is a bit of an old chestnut on here.I personally dont have a problem with the drive from north to south but then i do rather live on the edge lol.The best advice that i could give would be to click on the topic called "read about car hire in north cyprus" which is at the top of the page.Or secondly fly to Ercan and take your holiday in the north and get away from the lager louts,
Regards,
Paul.

Why not use a car hire company in the north that do airport transfers. We used Sun Rent A Car a couple of years ago (before we moved here). They charged something like £30 each way and took you to the office in North to collect car. Lots of other companies do airport transfers. One company that are very resonable and reliable are Lifestyle Solutions. They can be contacted on 0533 834 0617 or 0533 839 9770 (don't forget the code from outside TRNC). Email is theproblemsolvers.r@gmail.com
Hope this helps.

It all depends on length of car hire and type of car hired.
Zafira high season is £35/day including CDW
Focus high season is £21/day including CDW
I use Ozgur all the time and he certainly told me he would do a free Larnaca pick up and return depending on car hired etc. I see that he is now doing an online only 20% discount which might be the and/or alternative to a free pick up. Best to e-mail him and ask for the best deal he can put together he is a really top guy and will bend over backwards to get your business.
