İf you are a foreign national and have residency but no TRNC passport or kimlic do you need permission to purchase still or can you just get kocan in your name with a residency?

I think you will find that you still need PTP (unless you are a TC of course) or have been granted citizenship.

Residency does not stop you needing to get a permission to purchase. Also, should you sell your home and then buy a second property, you need to apply for a new permission to purchase.
