As the new minimum wage is now 1237 TL per month, what expenses in addition to this would an 'employer' of a member of staff on the minimum wage (or any wage come to that) have to pay. Presumably the 'employee' has to pay tax and NI but what of the 'employer'? What do they pay? and is this a percentage of the employee salary or what?

Off thecuff, employer pays 8% for Social Insurance and 5% for Profidence Fund. The employee pays 5% for NI and 5% for PF. These percentages may be a little higher if the job has a high risk. Minimum wage is free of any income tax. ismet

Thanks Ismet, so, employer pays 8% and 5% on the total amount paid to the employee, in this case 1237 tl, so 98.96 tl @ 8% and 61.85 tl @ 5% - Yes??
