how do you clean marble floor?

Anyone have any tips about how to clean marble on the kitchen flor that has started to look grubby?

Because natural granite and marble tile are natural products, they luckily exhibit a very wide range of stain resistance. Marble is much more porous than granite. Certain marble does stain can stain easily. Common household foods such as vinegar, lemon juice, orange juice, nail polish remover, and even water if it has a high mineral content can cause very serious stains and destroy the shiny surface with etching or pitting do to acids.



Both marble and granite requires the use of neutral pH sealers for protection and shine. These sealers need to be periodically reapplied perhaps every 6 to 12 months or so depending on the amount of foot traffic.

we use "HG" marble cleaner and shine from the Superhome Centre in the south - it does everything it says on the tin...



Easily the best i've found....
