One place I won't be going back to anytime soon for a meal is Punjab (Lapta).

We must have been asked at least 20 times by different waiters if we want more drinks, we had only been there 10-15 mins and still had quite full glasses. How annoying!!

I do not blame the waiters as it was obvious they had been told to keep going around the tables asking the same question, in the end I said, 'If we want another drink we will let you know' low and behold back another waiter came and asked again.

Regarding meal, the sauce that came for my chicken malai was no more than 2 dessert spoons.

I know i could have asked for more but just wanted to call it night after that.

Minetor that is really funny.

I just thought it was well over the top. We couldn't have a conversation without interruptions. They obviously aren't trying to discourage drinking and driving, profits first every time.

If something annoyed you it would have been better to talk to Riaz the owner as he likes to know what people think and is always open to constructive critisism.

Punjab is a great restaurant, dont bad mouth the place because of one 'bad' experience. Everyone i know that has eaten there says it is gorgeous food and good service.

Give em another chance :D

It is not the job of a restaurant or bar to discourage drinking and driving. It is totally the responsibility of the person with the car keys.

Joan &Jelly

Of course I know this refering to drink/driving. I was merely pointing out that it was far from the mind of the person responsible for giving instructions to staff to continually ask customers if they needed another drink. Also really do not agree that it is the bees knees. Nosheen is far superior, naan bread is first rate.

joan and jelly I am always aware. If the customer wants to drink they I have to serve it, however I always point out the dangers. Seen too much of it here xxxxx
