or does everyone here just want sing along Abba stuff ! Karaoke and usual stuff you hear everywhere ! i realise that it is very popular and i am a minority but not talking Metallica Black Sabbath etc but a mixture of super artists like Pink Floyd coldplay, razorlight ,gary moore,,wishbone ash ! your input would be most welcome !(as long as polite) with the sad demise of Funky Monkey it would be nice to play some different music to re generate some fresh interest ! thanks

Fat birds in the Indian, ABBA tribute and the karaoke which mostly seems like gods waiting room.

Thanks for your positive remarks ! i am at mo recording backing tracks of all songs i want to play as i have tried forming a band but no luck with anyone any good ! however the backing tracks have some of my favourite session musicians from UK on them and sound almost live ! i will do my best not to dissapoint watch this space!!!

Snakes - we are only over for a few weeks a year, but we would certainly support you. Not fans of karaoke and choice at the moment for decent live music is limited.

Snakes - This sounds like a breath of fresh air .... i wish more places would ditch the karoake/abba etc and get someone like yourself to play some decent music - it would make a pleasant change... lets us know of a future venue...

While i do agree with you snakes about different music needed here rock etc.....

As one half of the 'Abba divas' every night has been packed for us this season,we've had to turn gigs down proving that there are quite a lot of people who do like 'cheesy' singalong music!

I've been here 5 yrs, and have done several different shows and acts here, 'Abba' tribute has been the most popular, although i enjoy what I do I probabley, would choose to sing stuff to my own liking, but probabley no-one would enjoy it but me!!!!!!!!!!!

kezspot please dont misunderstand me i admire all kinds of music and never knock other performers and have heard great things about abba divas and congratulate you on your popularity my whole point to this question was am i wasting my time in preparing to play if i'm not playing the right stuff ! thank you for your input everyone ! thank you bar8.8 will let you know where i'm playing soon

Yes can't wait to hear you. Don't go out any more cos sick of hearing same old rubbish and tame middle of the road stuff. Love Hendrix and Gary Moore does him proud. Surprised they don't have Vera Lynn evenings here but guess you don't know who she is being so young. HI Barry, hope you are both ok! It owuld be great to see you play, do let us know where you are when you have aranged it and if we are out in TRNC would love to come & support you.

Have you been to Ibo's Bar in Alsancak on a Wed eve? they often have some good bands, mainly turkish with the odd Eagles, Coldplay number thrown in, but even so quite a good night out. They seem ot be quite goo dplayers as well and may be able to assist with your band member requirements.
