Quality wood stain needed

Hi, does anyone know where I can get a BLACK (black ash) wood stain from. I have tried local stuff but its more of an "iffy purple" colour!!! It is for untreated pine. Thanks.....

Best place to get any stain/paint etc is the shop in Tin Pan Alley on your right as you enter the road, go up 3 steps to it, speaks perfect English and helpful

safest bet is Superhome Centre in the south - loads of UK branded stuff....

Hi loulou the stuff at marshalls is a purple black, but got the right stuff now thanks !!!
