Is any one else having connection problems with sunnycyprus, mine has been off every morning and seems to pick up in the day, getting a bit fed up with them.

Maybe it's not only SunnyCyprus - my connection (Nethouse Networks) is slow and not stable either. I'm losing Dutch radio, which is usually very good via the Internet, every 15 seconds or so.

Other board members having problems with different ISP's?

I have been having a few problems with Sunny Cyprus, keep losing internet connection, usually in the morning but gets better as the day goes on. I am also losing Radio 2 a lot just lately, it,s been great since I got ADSL connection but does seem to be playing up these past few days.

i've said many many times, THE BEST INTERNET IN THE TRNC IS "BORTEC"....

Don't waste your time and money using anyone else....

In 2.5 years you can count on 1 hand the times that the service has been down, the service speed is always consistant, the speed is good and the owner gives you his personal mobile number in case of problems.

you would be raving BONKERS to use anyone else....

Bortec are opp Burger City in Kangerangalangoo (the Cannon Copy shop) - i am nothing to do with them, although i ought to be the amount of times i have reccomended them......

RE msg 5, negativenick: (...) i've said many many times (...)

=> Yes, you did. Like you say the same in every post of yours. In this thread nobody asked for advise where to go now - some people here are trying to find out if the problem should be located to one or more connections and to one or more ISP's. Back on topic.

we've been having problems with Sunny Cyprus as well, keep getting Network Timeout problems every day - morning and especially early evenings. I've phoned them several times and the lady just says there is a "big problem". Ask them to change your channel that you are using as that sometimes works for us.

I'm with Sunny Cyprus and have all the above problems of late, slow, dead stop, drops out halfway through something... Usually,it's ok,expensive for a claimed 750kb speed that I have never, ever seen using speedtest.net !!

Also with Bortec & has been very slow on & off lately. Speed tests prove both download & upload are bad. This seems to be an all ISPs thing.

For the last week or so,the speed had been very slow, even early mornings when it was about the only time it was possible to use it. "connection interrupted" keeps coming up. I've called their office but they couldn't care less as usual. Any one else having the same issues at the moment ??

I paid for 750kb connection,I'm lucky to get half that most of the time.

Keith - please e-mail me alison@sunnycyprus.net so we can check a few things. There's been a lot of weather damage lately, I'll send a crew up to take a look if needed.

My SunnyCyprus ADSL is as good as it always has been, which is fine.

I was with SunnyC for a few years and never encountered any problems at all until recently. After a couple of hours at my house trying to sort the problem out they discovered the dish was at fault so they changed the dish and I got a connection back.

Unfortunately the base station I was getting my signal from was at their old offices in Girne and living in Esentepe it was too far to get a good clear continuous signal.

I've changed supplier to one who has a base station nearer and am happy with the connection.

If we were nearer to the base station I wouldn't have changed supplier.
