Due to losing a fair bit of weight, I desperately need a good dressmaker to take in my trousers etc for the winter.

I could go into the material shops etc in town but would much rather have a recommendation please?

Thanks

Exotic Kumar in Karaoglanoglo are excellent. I take all my alterations there. I recently took them a dress a friend had given me that was a size too small for me they took a piece from the bottom and put in a panel each side of the zip. Now I have a new dress.

Have to agree, Exotic Kumas (not Kumar - which means gambling!) are v.good. You will see it on the left of the main road as you drive through. I'd wait a few more weeks yet though, I haven't finished with you yet!!

A dressmaker called Ejmel Hanim, telephone number 0542 8563068 - a very good dressmaker, works out of the centre of Girne, she will give you instructions if you call, has quite good English.

There is a great seamstress in Alsancak by the name of Fatma and she is located (on the one way system) at the back of the Mosque and very cheap into the bargain. If you need further directions then contact me by e-mail.

Ailleetoo,

I signed up for jacktheladett's healthy eating and exercise programme (I should get discount now for the next course!) and have been really chuffed with what I have achieved and the weight is still going down hence msg 3.

Thanks to everyone else, but I guess I better hang on for a further week or so before I get any alterations done.
