Had my daughter over couple of weeks ago she is back home and just been told she was in a car accident

the car she was driving was a Peuogot and a web site has been set up to tell people about the danger. The car just went dead and she was hit twice from behind. This could happen to any Peuogot so am hopping to be able to warn any driver who has one or get people to let others know who is not on Cyprus44 about the problem. Have seen a few Peuogot on the island so i hope they all get to hear about this before its too late

Just read your article???/

I have been driving Peugeots (406, 206, 107, and 1006's) for the last 12 years.

It's never happened to me. So it must be a new invention from the french????.

But all mine were bought in the UK!!!1

We had a Peugeot 309 some years ago, and this also stopped for no apparent reason. After much investigation, the immobiliser was disconnected, and the problem was cured. May be worth a try.

I hope GB John will get back to us.

I'd like to know a little more WHICH engines are affected, as I'm looking at cars .. now..

I can't believe it is just Peugeots.. it must be Citroen's, too they share the same engine/ transmission range.
