As you may know we are moving back to the uk.

We have 2 dogs which need homes very friendy with people and won't harm anyone.

They dont live inside we have a run for them but they are house trained and one sleeping in now.

If you were to take the dogs we would give you the run and pay the cost for transport and set up of it.

Please they need a home.

Hayley.

What will you do with the dogs if you do not get anyone to take them? Will they just be turned out onto the street with the other homeless dogs?

RE msg 1, showoff: (...) As you may know we are moving back to the uk. (...)

=> Sorry to ask you the same question as I did in another thread: why don't you take the dogs (which *you* chose to live with you for life) back to the UK?

I'm guessing showoff wouldn't be posting if she were able to take the dogs with her. There may be a dozen reasons for her asking for homes and not one of them is our business unless we are offering to take the dogs.

Good luck with your quest Showoff. You don't have to justify your original call for help.

I think NN replied for me.

DC: (...)Oh? What is wrong with a polite question?!(...)

Nothing wrong with a polite question, it was the (which *you* chose to live with you for life) which smacks of being a tad condescending DC.

I have had to leave my 14 yr old lab in the UK. Never ever did I think this would happen, never ever did I think I would be moving to TRNC in his life time. Its HEARTBREAKING. Sometimes a second to think of someones feelings before you post wouldnt be a bad thing.

I normally really enjoy your posts, just a little disappointed in you this time.

In defence of DC..the dog situation here is a sensitive one and so many brits return to the UK leaving their dogs homeless, please also remember DC is Dutch and sometimes his english translation goes a little awry.

We all do our best to rehome dogs and some brits do take the dogs with them but not everyone can.

RE msg 8, vidal: (...) it was the (which *you* chose to live with you for life) which smacks of being a tad condescending DC. (...)

=> Living in North Cyprus and seeing what happens to dogs and cats (more and more often, I think) - did I write an untruth, vidal?

=> Believe me, I have no problem understanding your feelings at the time. But in this case we are looking at two dogs of 2,5 years old. A whole dog's life to go. So I have to disagree with you on this point - I think we (or I) have the right to ask why the dogs must be re-homed in TRNC. Can't be a state secret and may help us to understand.

P.S. I'm Dutch and sometimes my English translation goes a little awry.

Girls, I hope you sold all your discounted cards, balloons and what have you. But what happened to your two dogs..? I noticed you didn't like to explain anything about your two young dogs ("We want a home for them and the rest is none of your business"), but - WHAT HAPPENED to your two young dogs..?!

Am I wrong? or do I get the impression that there are a lot of people on here totally obsessed with dogs?. My family and myself like animals but until we decide what we are going to do ( stay or leave, and if stay. how long) in north cyprus, We would not consider getting a cat or dog. Saying that, I get the impression that most of the doggy obsessed posting on this site would pass an injured baby on the roadside, to reach an injured dog. The girl made a simple request, not to have her morals questioned!. I dont want to make enemies here,as i have so far found this site both useful, and interesting, but some of you seem to think a lot more of our four legged friends than our two legged, which I myself find, quite strange!!!. Are you one of these?, well judge that by the number of your postings which refer to dogs ! . I will now sit back and put my tin helmet on and wait for the flack !. WOOPS!

Hi jinyx. You are correct in assuming that a great deal of people care about the treatment of animals here, but I think not one would not help a child in danger or pain. We see so much suffering to animals and find lost or abondened animals almost daily. The only way we can make this known is via the forum. Many have been reunited or indeed homed thanks to this forum. Many appeals also go out for all sorts of help like giving blood to an injured child etc. We all try to do our bit for the community. We want to see the poisioning stamped out before a child gets killed thats why you see so much about animals.

Hi Lilli, Nice posting on the all saints subject. To clarify what I am trying to put over, I am all for helping animals, and feel pity for the abandoned animals which seem to be everywhere, but I have got to say it seems to me that most have been abandoned by the british so called animal lovers when clearing off home "out of site, out of mind!". I once worked for a major retailer in a site in oxford st in london and dealt with many a request for permission to collect in store, of which I would allow two at a time only. I always give permission to the r.s.p.c.a., and the n.s.p.c.c, because I belived in both charities. Whwn we received the letter thanking us for the collection, I was always amazed to find that the animal charity took at least twice that of the childrens, now what does that tell you? and I think it would be the same here or anywhere!. On another note, shouldnt you be helping with the lunch prep, and not on here?. Will have to try your food, and to meet you some time.
