HI Delia, I often order books and they arrive at Lapta Post Office with no trouble. If you see the pile of Amazon stuff they have there you'll know what I mean! - but why doesn't it go missing? - could it be that the people intercepting our post realise that its just a book (in English) and will be of no use to them?

I know its a stupid question but if you don't have a PO Box number can you still pick up from your local post office, and in that case how do you know when it's arrived, is it just a case of just keep checking. I know Amazon send household goods here now according to their customer service but think duvet covers etc might go walk about!!! Delia

I have ordered three times from Amazon and don't have a PO box number. I just keep checking at my post office in Alsancak about 2 weeks after Amazon despatch the books. On one occasion I ordered 6 books together and the post office knocked at my front door at 7.30 in the morning with the books!!! There is hope after all over here!

Hi, ordered many times from our Ozankoy address, books, cds and dvds. A white slip was left at the gate and I went to the main post office to pick up. Haven't ordered yet from our Karsiyaka address, mainly because we don't have one yet, or at least a street number, so have been a bit wary of trying. Sounds as though it might be okay if I just try the local post office at around the delivery date.
