Does anyone know if there is a shop that sells good knitting wool/patterns and knitting needles here in the north....thanks

Hi LadyM, I use two in Girne, both central. If you walk up from the Ataturk statue near the Dome, with the sea at your back, turn right at High Street and one is about 100m on left. If you cross the High Street and turn left up the steps after the kebab stall there is one on the left.

Better to go to Lefkosia. If you take a dolmus, get off at the terminus, walk back to the Main Street and turn left. Keep going until you get to the round seating area in the centre. Go up the narrow shopping street and there are a couple of good shops there.
