Just want to share this as only one of my 4 offspring was interested and my sister. Our choir - Largs Gaelic - has just returned from a great Mod in Oban. Weather was beautiful, sunny & warm, scenery out of this world, and atmosphere wonderful. We got 2nd in our comp. and won the quaich for Music. Food, bevvy, and company first class. Suas leis a Gaidhlig!

Not managed to watch much of the Mod this year, but very well done. Remember when it was held in Airdrie the music was fantastic and that was just in some of the pubs. Great atmosphere and the singers were unbelievable. Would love to speak a little gaelic, maybe someday I will go to some classes. Glad this year was a good one.

Thanks, boglefan. When was it in Airdrie? They have a lot of Gaelic descendants there.

Congratulation to the Largs choir well done. My mother speaks fluent Gaelic as she is from Lewis but never thought to teach us how to speak it, which is a shame. Oban a great setting for the Mod as well.
