Tinkie If your cat likes both the salmon flavour and chiken flavour of Friskies then I can let you have one of each right now. We are in Ozankoy. Compass

Compass, that is really so kind of you, Im afraid I have the most ungrateful fussy bunch of stray cats in Cyprus who only like the beef flavour. Thanks for taking the time to reply and the kind offer. StgeorgeI, thank you for your very helpful comment. Lilli, Saturday would be great if you are sure it would be no problem....they will only eat the Friskies with the brown label, think its actually beef and vegetable... I can pop the money in to you tomorrow for them at the restaurant if that would be ok. Thank you very much. xxxx

Be careful, a friend was told by Customs she wasn't allowed to bring pet food in from the South.

boerboel, your loss I say. If my TC husband who lost plenty of family during the war here is happy to go over and shop in the south then why the heck should it bother you? I only want some blooming cat food, why did you even bother posting that?

My point was that we should be supporting the North and shopping here not giving our money to the South who think they own everything anyway. And my message was actually an agreement with Msg 3 who also stated he had not been in two years. Sorry if I upset you, that was not my intention.

I agree with boerboel 100% - You earn your money and/or live in Northern Cyprus so why not keep your money here and support the local economy. If the border was closed tomorrow what would you do - the option wouldn't be there. Infact, unlike a couple of years ago, many things are now more expensive in the South than they are here anyway. Keep the peace - TRNC forever ;o) CHEERS!

What if half of my family earn their money in the south, would it still be ok with you guys if I bought a bag of cat food there then??? My father in law works in the south and can earn more money in a week there than he can in a month here, and he is a TC...he has no problem earning money there and spending it on either side of the border, wherever he can get the best deal...I fully intend to continue doing the same. If I can buy a bag of cat food in the south for less than half of what I pay in the North, should I buy it here to support the economy and not worry about the effect that it has on my own finances? In an ideal world maybe, but not in the real world, thanks for the sentiments though.
