I have been reading the board this evening and as is usual there was a closed post, so I had a look. The personal insults on that post were disgusting, the language was vile and the level of hatred absolutely appalling. If people have to sink so low as to insult another person, and his family, then they are beneath contempt. Sadly but understandably the object of these insults retaliated in the same manner, therefore sinking just as low as the two original posters.

Are we not all adults on here, can we not disagree with someone else without sinking to this level, many of us have commented in the past on the content of postings on the GC forum but this posting was just as bad and in my opinion should have been closed well before it got so out of hand.

If members cannot control themselves better than this and have at least a little respect for others then they should not be posting on this forum, healthy debate is one thing but disgraceful attacks like this are uncalled for.

It would be a great pity if Dutch stopped posting, God knows I rarely agree with him but I do sympathise with him at some of the posters on here, they can try your patience or in the case of the posting under discussion they can disgust you, but he does have an awful lot of knowledge on Cyprus which he gladly shares with the rest of us. I regularly post on a number of other sites related to Business, Property, Financial, etc.



The increase of vitriol and personal attack on all of them has increased noticeably over the last year or so.



I don't think it is isolated to C44, it's a sign of the times.



I agree with everon, it is hard to walk away from personal attack, so well done Coachie!
