There are only 5 places left for the group I form for the second "Kyrenia Walk" (Learn history with your feet, not with or in your car...) on Sunday November 8.

The first walk (Sunday November 1) is fully booked.

To reply to several emails from people at present in the UK: yes, I may organise more (Kyrenia) walks later this year or in the spring. Please note: I can only keep you informed when you email me at mcf.trnc@gmail.com .

Dear Hans,

Please don't think I'm being silly, but how about some walks of the villages. For example, nearer to your area: Yesiltepe, Ilgaz, Malatya or Zeytinlik.

I appreciate it may not have the attractions of Girne, but perhaps some "locals" could be persuaded to give an insight. Even if it is over a Turkish coffee at their favourite cafe. A different village each month.

I know you cannot organise everything, but you do pretty well in my opinion!

Regards

1: All reservattions via email will be confirmed before Wednesday.

2: RE pinkchilli: the only reason I still post on this board, more specific: in this thread, is that I promised to do the Kyrenia walks. Further I don't want to have anything to do anymore with some members. Not virtually on this board and certainly not in real life.

pinkchilli. What a good idea about the villages, I am only there over Christmas and New Year but I love to visit the villages, last year we did Esentepe and Tatlisu, my husband can speak Turkish and I can pick up the conversation although I can't speak the language we had a great time chatting and being invited to have tea made the day.
