Been grumbling and rumbling all morning, finally bucketing down here at Karsiyaka. We watched the storm come all the way up from Kayalar, hoping for some of the bounty

The temperature dropped significantly and now it's hailing too!

Nigel's site says we've had 3.63 cm of rain since it hit!!!

Hurray!

You lucky devils. Not a drop in Bacheli, but we can hear thunder in the distance.

Isn't it funny, If I was back in the UK I would be saying 'hope we don't get any' but the plants and wells here are desperate for water!

Thought about going to higher ground by the sound of the angry sea. That is what you call one hell of a hail storm.

Fantastic rain but my plants and shrubs have taken a real battering. Only said to my hubby this morning how great the pool was looking and now it's like soup! It's heading East so Bahceli may still be in luck.

2km West of Esentepe we had a very small shower around 2pm today but had 20-30 minutes of torrential rain and hailstones yesterday. Apparently, only a few spots at the golf course, 3 miles along the road so very localised.

Remember to check your solar panels (out of sight etc...) - these have a very large exposed glass area

Was in Alsancak lovely when I left my car with windows open, it pelted down with hailstones and it was coming down too heavy to run out side by the time it stopped I had to drive home sitting squelching all the way to Girne, and it was dry here so it looks like it was only Lapta way

great for the gardens we needed it

msg 20,

Well that's a little job for the morning - too dark now, but everything else outside is smashed, plants, lights, covers on loungers, plastic guttering, you name it...

Now where's that insurance policy???
