Hi Randolez,

I have just contacted a trnc company Oleytrans and received a cost of just over £2k for a 20 ft container from Glasgow to Alsancak. which I think is very good. They can be contacted at 'olaytrans@olaytrans.com' ask for Mr Hurmus Sarp, I got a very prompt reply. Also look under previous responses to my similar request.

Hope you get on OK

i used Dolphın movers, do be aware though if you are packing the container yourself , you only get 3 hours in which to do it (ever tried lifting a leather chesterfield above head height into a container?).

We have just shipped our container out with Valentines removals, we packed our own stuff and they loaded the container, very efficient, cost inc insurance just over £3,000.

We moved out 8 months ago and used Euromead of Enfield, cost for a 20 foot container was 2050 GBP.The service was first class, the fella this end even took us to the customs office and sorted out all the paperwork etc. Please be aware that all new items coming in are subject to an import tax,so repack all new items in old boxes.Good luck

5 years ago we used Pickfords from just outside Glasgow to Lapta, no breakages everthing done very profesionally both in Scotland and out here. Cost was £3500 that was door to door with them doing the packing. But if you don't have an awful lot to bring over I believe you can contact them about a shared container which will keep the cost down.

Just returned from the north having successfully taken possession of our household goods via Valentines Removals. The service is excellent and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone wishing to do the same. The container ship arrived earlier (yes EARLIER) than expected at Famagusta and the shipping agent in the north (arranged by Valentines) took us personally to do all the formalities. The container arrived at our villa, again earlier than we were told, and was unloaded efficiently by the shipping staff in full view of the customs officers who congratulated us all on a very efficiently executed event. Jo Valentine made this container exercise a DREAM. Having read some of the reports on many forums before I admit I was very sceptical how successful it would all be. In valentines' hands you have nothing to worry about. The brilliant and seamless service started from the first phone call I had with Jo Valentine (a lovely lady) right to the moment the customs men walked out.
